dans le pays conte de fee ~ or on English, living in a fairy tale country!

We took the trian from Paris on Monday, arrived at the village, La Souterainne, and stepped back in time to sun dappled hamlets, foxgloves growing in the wild, roses, old roses, daisies, neat gardens everywhere, the sounds of turtle doves, chirping birds, distant roosters, cows lowing, wind in trees, and our own continual oohs and ahhs.  

 . This morning we are invited by the mayor of a nearby village for a champagne reception. 

We are painting all day everywhere, preparing for a little art exhibit for the residents of the hamlets this Sunday afternoon. We are enjoying the French English and hand gesture conversations with our dear hosts, Gilbert and Nicole and the locals .
