Last Day in Paris

Before leaving for the Louvre, we drank coffee, ate croissants and said our goodbyes to Marie, our waitress for the week at Chez Maman.
On our way to the Louvre, we  got off at the metro station at the Bastlle to look at the colorful historic tile mural depicting the French Revolution. The only thing missing was the sound track to "Les Miserables!"
At the Louvre we all went our separate ways and met up outside the glass pyramid at 3:00.
Overwhelming art...

Next adventure?  Marilyn found the famous old art store across from the Orangerie, on the Rive droit ~ Sennilier! It was like kids in a candy store!!! More on this in another blog post. Suffice it to say, that we were enchanted by the third generation Sennalier and his daughter who waited on us! Sherry took some amazing photos of the old shop, Monsieur Sennalier, and our group.

Now we're packing and getting ready to leave tomorrow morning on the train for the next week in rural France ~ the department of the Creuse!

A demain!
