It's been five years since the first "Artz Tour de France" and it's time to go back. June 1st 10 of us fly out of Chicago for Paris to begin a 16 day adventure. We'll soak in the sights, paint, take photos, and live the dream again with like minded souls! This time three husbands join us - two to paint, and my husband, Steve to help lead the tour. When we lived in France Steve's been known to take friends on a one day whirlwind visit to Paris and managed to show folks the Eiffel Tower, the Arch de Triomphe, Notre Dame, the Louvre and ride down the Seine on a Bateau Mouche. We'll be doing similar things, but we'll have a week which will include a day visiting and painting Monet's garden in Giverny.
The 2nd week of our trip we'll take the train from Paris to La Souterrain (about an hour and a half from Limoges) to be met by our good friends, Nicole & Gilbert and taken to their guest house in a rural paradise. We'll spend days exploring the area, painting the quaint rural farm scenes and countryside and taking hundreds of photos!
You can join us for the trip by following our blog. There will be posts along the way to give you an inside view of this most magnificent adventure.
